HAIR & MAKE UP

Here are some tips for hair and makeup for a headshot session:

  1. Keep it natural: When it comes to headshots, you want to keep your hair and makeup natural-looking. Avoid heavy makeup and elaborate hairstyles, as they can be distracting and take away from your natural look.

  2. Start with a clean slate: Let's begin with basic natural make up, we can always look to layer, and change hair styles as we go.

  3. Choose colours wisely: Stick to neutral or muted colours for your makeup. Avoid anything too bright or flashy, as it can be distracting.

  4. Don't forget about your hair: Make sure your hair is styled neatly and doesn't cover your face - we want to see you eyes! You may want to consider getting a trim or touch-up before your headshot session - try to do this a few days in advance of your session, and not just before.

  5. Bring touch-up supplies: Bring a small bag with touch-up supplies, such as extra bobby pins, hairspray, hair product etc. to ensure we can easily play with styles.

Remember, the goal of a headshot is to capture and showcase your appearance and personality. By keeping your hair and makeup simple and natural-looking, we can ensure that your headshots will look great and stand out for all the right reasons.
